INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE
INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE
Comprehensive industrial hygiene consulting, involving exposure/risk investigations and programs to identify, mitigate, and control workplace and site hazards and stressors. Services include indoor air quality investigations; air and surface contaminant sampling; noise monitoring; chemical, physical, and biological hazard assessments; evaluations of engineering & administrative controls, PPE, and work practices; sampling plans & monitoring strategies; contaminant & hazard control systems; compliance audits; and document peer review.
PROGRAMS & TRAINING
Occupational health & safety training, programs, and plans on an extensive range of industrial hygiene topics—including Illness & Injury Prevention; Hazard Communication; Emergency Response; Respiratory Protection; Confined Space Safety; PPE; Hearing Conservation; Lab Safety; Material Handling & Storage; Bloodborne Pathogens; Fire Prevention; Lead and Asbestos Compliance; COVID-19; Valley Fever; and Ergonomics.
COVID-19
On-site assessments of work practices, hygiene, and ventilation effectiveness with regard to COVID-19 exposures in the workplace. Services also include air and surface sampling for viral contamination, the development of COVID-19 Compliance Plans (which ensure regulatory compliance with Cal/OSHA and the California Department of Public Health), and employee health & safety training.
CONSTRUCTION SAFETY
Identification, control, and mitigation of hazards related to construction industry projects involving roadways, bridges, dams, tunnels, commercial buildings, utilities, and industrial facilities. Services include the development of regulatory agency-required public works plans—e.g., Lead Compliance Plans, Asbestos Compliance Plans, Health & Safety Plans, Dust Control Plans, and Public Safety Plans—as well as air, soil, noise, and heat stress monitoring; field work oversight; on-site safety training, and ergonomics assessments.
LEGAL
Expert witness testimony (via deposition, courtroom, and legal opinion document) for legal claims related to occupational illnesses & injuries (including Workers Compensation). Other services include legal research; collection of supporting data, including contaminant sampling; document review (industrial hygiene and technical reports, medical records, lab results, chemical data); third-party reviews of previous investigations; and report writing.
TECH COMMUNICATIONS
Copy editing, substantive editing, and formatting of technical and scientific documentation—for the fields of engineering, geosciences, natural resources, environmental planning, transportation, energy, utilities, and industrial hygiene. Additional services include style guide and document template development; word processing; document production; résumé writing/design; marketing materials; and website content.

Peter is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with over four decades of experience in occupational health & safety and public health. Peter performs air and noise monitoring; conducts indoor air quality investigations; develops industrial hygiene programs and plans; evaluates administrative & engineering controls, PPE, ergonomics, and work practices; conducts EHS training; acts as a technical resource; and provides expert witness services for illness & injury claims.
Peter holds an M.S. degree and has the following professional certifications: (1) CIH (#5151-CP — Board for Global EHS Credentialing®); (2) HAZWOPER (OSHA); (3) TWIC® (TSA); and (4) DBE (#45793 — Caltrans).

Bo is a technical editor with 38 years of experience in editing, formatting, word processing, and producing environmental, technical, and scientific documents. Bo's editing services range from basic proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting to substantive editing involving voice, structure, logic, internal consistency, and clarity of expression. Bo is a recognized expert in documentation related to the fields of engineering, geosciences, environmental planning (CEQA/NEPA), natural resources, energy, transportation, and industrial hygiene.
Bo also manages the Delta Bay Consultants office.

As Pest Control Officer, Toby effectively eradicates all manner of vermin at our office. Utilizing his uncanny reflexes, relentless approach, and "can do" attitude, he gets the job done.
As Package Inspector with 14 years of investigative experience under his collar, Lenny maintains the safety of our office by opening and inspecting every delivery. Even the strongest packing material is no match for his power and ingenuity.
